"Implicated athletes still have plenty at stake in Galea plea deal"

At SI.com, Michael McCann says that Dr. Galea's implicated athletes still have plenty at stake in the plea deal announced Wednesday. Apparently as part of the plea Dr. Spaceman has to share certain information about his suppliers and clients, and McCann seems to think that information has not been shared. While he says the investigators will mostly target suppliers, he notes this about athletes and their leagues.

Even if Galea does not share information that would lead to athletes facing perjury charges, he could still expose them to investigation and discipline by their respective leagues (should damaging information become leaked). The leagues would also be interested in the information to better configure polices that would prevent other players from working with doctors like Galea.

Leagues yes, tours? No way. Tim Finchem is running from this with his hands covering his ears screaming, "our players don't do drugs!"

More importantly, looks like the doc is still working the HGH. I think he looks younger than he did the last time we saw him! The miracles of modern illicit medicine.
