Video: Robert Allenby Talks About His Ordeal

Steve Sands of Golf Channel landed an interview with a battered, bruised but lucid Robert Allenby. The Australian golfer who was mugged Friday night comes off as very credible telling this bizarre story and is feeling "very lucky" to have survived.

Sands also asks Allenby about the social media skepticism and Allenby's confident his story will be vindicated by the assailants using his credit card.

The only questionable element in the story came when Allenby described the wine bar crowd, prompted by Sands asking if he remembered talking to anyone in the place besides his dinner mates.

"I don’t remember anyone else. They were talking golf, big golf fans, big Robert Allenby fan.”

He did say fan, not fans. So he's got that going for him.
